The Los Angeles County Medical Association today announced the first quarter winners of its Practice Makeover Initiative.

LACMA's Medical Practice Makeover Initiative, launched in 2022, awards grants, consulting, and resources to three practices that meet certain criteria every quarter.

"The program was a complete success! I used the grant towards office equipment repairs and it opened my eyes to Practice Development, AR & Billing. I've seen improvement in my collections and numbers. Thank you LACMA! " Cheryl Powell, MD, Los Angeles, CA

"Congratulations to our Q1 Pratice Makeover winners, Drs. Powell, Shafai, and Yeh," said LACMA CEO Gustavo Friederichsen. "The Practice Makeover Initiative is more than a slogan. It’s a promise to small, independent medical practices that help is on the way. Since 2022, more than 20 practices received $5,000 grants along with robust resources, PPE supplies, practice assessments, and consulting. The success of the program in its first year demonstrated the need to extend the Medical Practice Initiative into 2023."
